Important Updates on RAPPORT Full Grants
What to expect:
- Effective March 16, 2015, RAPPORT grants will become mandatory for
tracking, routing and approving all grant applications.
- RAPPORT tracking, internal routing, review and approval will be required for all sponsor types including federal, non-federal, foundations, private industry,
state and government sponsors.
- Principal Investigators, Chairs, Deans and others will certify proposals on-line.
- Principal Investigators will interact with RAPPORT for each proposal at a minimum of two time points:
- Principal Investigators will complete certain data on the system including involvement of sensitive technology, export controlled technology and will
answer questions concerning debarment
- Principal Investigators will certify that the proposal data and uploaded documents are final and correct
RAPPORT Grants will continue to be the system for applying through grants.gov
RAPPORT will be unavailable for several days during the transition (see schedule below). Proposals for deadlines between 3/12 and 3/17 must be submitted by no later than Thursday March 12.
RAPPORT will be mandatory for all submissions to grants.gov (other than Fastlane). OSP will no longer accept Adobe forms
if grants.gov is available.
Training Scheduled for Administrators
Audience: The session will cover the new functionality available in Rapport Grants
for submitting proposals to grants.gov, submitting proposals for all sponsors
including federal, foundations, state and corporate sponsors. Effective March 17, 2015, RAPPORT grants will become
mandatory
for tracking, routing and approving all grant applications. RAPPORT Grants will continue to be the system for applying through grants.gov. We encourage grants managers, department administrators and other staff involved in supporting proposal development,
routing, review and submission to attend one of these sessions.
