Tomorrow morning's weather promises to be fit for neither bird, beast
nor birder, so the 9-10:30 am walk scheduled at Wilder Dam will be
postponed until Sunday, same time and place. The weather sounds much
more favorable then. Details of this benefit for the Haven are repeated
below.

Here's a chance to simultaneously indulge your urge for early winter
birding _and_ support one of the Upper Valley's most worthy causes. As
one of many activities to support "The 19 Days of Norwich, 1% for the
Haven", I'll meet anyone who is interested for 90 minutes of leisurely
birding on Sunday morning. We'll convene at 9:00 am in the parking lot
just above Wilder Dam, south of and across from the playing fields.
From there, we'll stroll down to the dam, with a great chance to
glimpse one or two of the year-round resident Bald Eagles. We'll also,
of course, look for waterfowl and any other birds in the area. We'll
walk from the dam up to Kilowatt South park, and, if time allows, do
some feeder watching along Passumpsic Avenue, wrapping up by 10:30. We
might cover 1/2 mile by foot.

Birders of all stripes are welcome to join this outing. The only
prerequisite is a willingness to contribute to the Haven - we suggest a
donation of $10. Please make sure to dress warmly, with a hat and
gloves, and wear warm, waterproof boots. If you have a spotting scope,
please bring it. If you don't, no worries, we'll share mine.

I'll hope to see some of you there.

Chris
