Eric Winchester and I birded Depot Street in Bradford, Bayley's Eddy in Newbury and Bedell Bridge in Haverhill this a.m. Highlights were 2 Great Egrets at Bayley's and a Swainson's Thrush at Bedell Bridge, the only obvious migrant we had. It was pretty slow, but the real highlight for me was the new trail system at Bedell Bridge. This previous hotspot has been made more accessible by a trail that goes directly into the floodplain forest/wooded swamp area and an even better trail that passes around the south end of this area and is dedicated to Harold Sonnichsen. There is a platform overlooking the swamp. This has always been great during migration, it's going to be even better now. Looking forward to going back!
