I drove to the Pompy Flats (Rt.5 and Rt 132) at about 7:25 this eve. Took a chair, just in case. (Red Sox in background) At 7:36 a spotted my first Co. Nighthawk. Several more followed, all coming from the River. Counted 10 in all. They were silent (no Peert's). Very sweet as they dipped and swirled right overhead. Nice pointy wings and lovely wing patches. Yay ! Such a treat. Watched for about 3 minutes.
