Could this current abundance be related to their temporary disappearance in the Spring? I still think that they ate some super-fecundity bug at the Sapsucker sites in the Spring. Michael.

We usually have 4-5 hummers every year, sometimes fewer. This year we seem to have no less than 15, perhaps as many as 20....its insane at our feeders. I've never seen so many in one place on the east coast.... its impressive.

We have a ton of blooming flowers in the garden plantings...
