AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET MONEY TO DO COOL THINGS!

To Faculty Members in the Arts and Sciences,
I am very excited to let you know about a new opportunity for students
who will be entering their Junior Year. Dartmouth has just finalized a
partnership with the Stamps Family Charitable Foundation to offer
enrichment funding for students to pursue an experiential learning
opportunity. Here's a short description of the award:
"Stamps Leadership Scholar Awards allow the most promising students an
opportunity to design an experiential learning program to build on or
respond to what theyıve learned through multiple experiences in their
first and second years at Dartmouth. Stamps Leadership Scholars have
access to an enrichment fund of up to $10,000 per academic year per
student to engage in experiential learning opportunities that can be
spread over multiple terms, both during on and off terms. Examples of
ways the award funds can be used include pursuing: an entrepreneurial
idea, a research project either on or off campus, leadership training,
an internship, service learning, or other purposes at the discretion of
the SFCF and Dartmouth College."
As this is the first year of the awards, we are under a very tight
timeline to notify students of this great opportunity and for them to
complete an application. Do you know students who have an experiential
project they would like to explore this coming year who would benefit
from year-long funding? If so, please direct them to information about

The application and additional materials must be submitted by July 2,
2014. I would be happy to answer any questions from potential
