Friends: Some research shows that Ruby Throated Hummingbirds are the most frequent bird visitors to Yellow Belly Sapsucker feeding sites. Maybe they are off dining on some sapsucker site. ?? Michael.

Subject: [UVB] Vanished Hummingbirds

On May 10th, (a bit late this year), I put out our hummingbird feeder and within hours, there was a pair here feeding eagerly.

However, 7-10 days ago, they vanished.

I always boil the sugar water and I clean the feeder well at each refill.  Am disappointed and mystified as to what has become of them - both of them.  And why has some other couple not come along?

Any suggestions?  Thanks.
