Hey everyone,
On my way back from St. Johnsbury this afternoon, I made a few stops around Kendall: Stevens Rd (SR), Kendall Station Rd (KSR), and Pompy Flats (PF). I had a good number of migrants, including a huge mixed flock of warblers on Stevens Road; while mostly Yellow-rumped, there were other species mixed in, and it was great to see the trees "dripping" with warblers.
Below are the highlights I had from each of my 3 stops (guess I should have gone to Campbell flats too!):
American Kestrel- 1 SR
Least Flycatcher- 1 KSR; 1 PF
Eastern Kingbird- 1 SR
Warbling Vireo- 1 PF
Common Raven- 1 SR (being mobbed by a crow, lol)
Winter Wren- 1 SR
Gray Catbird- 1 KSR; 1
PF
Louisiana Waterthrush- 1 SR
Black-and-white Warbler- 3 SR; 2 KSR
American Redstart- 2 SR; 1 PF
Northern Parula- 2 SR
Chestnut-sided Warbler- 1 SR (nice adult)
Yellow Warbler- 1 KSR
Yellow-rumped Warbler- 40 SR, KSR, PF
Black-throated Green Warbler- 10 SR
White-crowned Sparrow- 1 KSR
Baltimore Oriole- 1 KSR (nice male)
Cheers,
