Peter and I had a great time this morning (9-9:30) birding despite the periodic sprinkles....the high light at Zeebeedee Swamp was initially hearing the American bittern call several times and then eventually seeing him fly- always a wonderful bird to observe!

We also saw or heard: a pair of hooded mergansers, a Canadian goose, many tree swallows, phoebes, singing swamp sparrows, white throated sparrows, yellow throats, ovenbirds, and red-winged blackbirds.
