Hey everyone,
This is my first of two emails. I checked out Pompy and Kendall this evening, looking for shorebirds at the flats and migrants around Kendall. Tried for the Virginia Rail without any luck. But did run into a nice mixed flock (mostly Yellow-rumps) foraging on a lot of insects at Kendall.
Below are my highlights/birds of interest for the two areas:
Killdeer- 2
Greater Yellowlegs- 2 (including a pretty stocky individual)
Cliff Swallow- 1
Warbling Vireo- 1 FOS
House Wren- 1
Yellow Warbler- 1 FOS
Cheers,
Kyle Kittelberger
