Hey everyone,

I decided to check the Mink Brook area before the next round of rain/storms moved in. I first checked Mink Brook preserve. After the sweet reports coming in this morning, I thought I would find a number of new arrivals, esp. warblers, here. This wasn't the case, but it was nice to see House Wren and Black-and-white Warbler.
I then checked the wetlands trail and had much better success. Highlights were 1 Spotted Sandpiper and 6 Solitary Sandpipers foraging on the exposed flats. Other good birds included Louisiana Waterthrush, a chinking Rose-breasted Grosbeak that I briefly heard, and a flyover Broad-winged Hawk.

Cheers,
Kyle Kittelberger
