I birded this morning from Monroe to Orford.<div><br></div><div>Highlights:</div><div> </div><div>- A Pied-billed Grebe and 14 Double-crested Cormorants along the river in Monroe. I also had a DCCO at Lake Fairlee yesterday.</div>
<div><br></div><div>-Lots of Green-winged Teal and Ring-necked Ducks at almost all stops.</div><div><br></div><div>- Two Rusty Blackbirds and FOY Barn Swallows at Depot Rd. in Bradford.</div><div><br></div><div>Lowlights and misses:</div>
<div><br></div><div>- No Sandhill Cranes in Monroe. Since the (now) TWO were reported last summer and again recently, I&#39;ve been up there several times without luck. Today also despite checking carefully twice along Plains Rd. and all over the river in Monroe and McIndoe Falls!</div>
<div><br></div><div>- No Snowy Owl or Snowy Owl pellets at Newbury Crossing. The owl may have moved on and I couldn&#39;t locate a pellet I was sure I saw coughed up on Sunday.</div><div><br></div><div>- No Eastern Meadowlarks at Dean Memorial Airport in Haverhill. I had them here several times last year.</div>
<div><br></div><div>-Hardly any early warblers. Three yellow-rumps at Depot Rd.</div><div><br></div><div>Still a good morning birding.  Jeff<br></div>
