Hey all,
I'm trying to get a Dartmouth crew together for MTB season this coming fall. We'll likely host an informational meeting before the end of the term, but I'd first like to gauge the interest of current team members and other students out there in listserv
land who might be interested in racing mountain bikes. One of the difficulties with MTB season is that (with the Dartmouth schedule), most students are coming back to campus at the same time that the race season is starting, so by the time interest is generated
and we get organized, the season is halfway over.
Benefits to mountain bike racing:
your bike handling skills will improve exponentially
a race season vibe unique to mountain biking
you'll learn to love dirt even more
you won't miss out on the awesome trails in the area
you'll gain a whole new vocabulary
no cars on the trails
you can turn your dog into a trail dog
animals (who doesn't love a good moose)
just as much spandex as on the road
Cheers, and let me know if you have any comments or questions,
Robert
