Hello list, I saw the robins too along River Road this morning (Friday) at around 7:45. I had to do a double-take to make sure actually saw what I thought I saw. best, Peter Allen From: Upper Valley Birders [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Blake Allison Sent: Thursday, January 23, 2014 9:56 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [UVB] Driving Today In Lyme On my way home from a meeting in Hanover, I made the following observations. On River Rd., one hundred yards north of Hews Brook, approximately 24 cedar waxwings and a dozen American robins were working on a still, fruit-laden crab apple. On E. Thetford Rd., a red-tailed hawk was seen perched in a leafless tree overlooking the Recordridge Farm fields. On Whipple Hill Road, a red-tailed hawk was seen on the far side of a neighbor's corn field, its breast glowing brightly white in the light of a late afternoon sunset. On the home property, six cedar waxwings were flushed by my arrival from a tree near a feeder.
