Hi Kyle. I went out there today with my friend Wayne Benoit. It had just left the area when we arrived, so we decided to go have some lunch. As we headed south, the owl obligingly had perched atop a white pine right at the road's east edge in front of the house where it has often been seen. When we returned a group had it fixed atop a white pine far across the field on the road's west side almost opposite the above mentioned house. That was too far out for anything but a scope or very large camera lens. Both pieces were present making clear viewing possible. Your friend's chances should be good.

Good luck,

Blake

Hey everyone,

I have a friend from out of state possibly coming up soon to look for the Hawk Owl and was wondering if anyone has seen the bird today or yesterday. I see that according to eBird the last sightings were on the 13th.

Thanks,
Kyle
