Filemaker server works very well on Mavericks, it is the problem to
uninstall Filemaker server 12 from Maveriks that is the problem.

Hi John,

I am unable to understand your comment that FM 12 cannot be installed on
Mavericks.

I have FM 12 installed on Mavericks on my 2011 MM Server without any
problems so, as far as I can see, there should be no problem in installing
on OSX 10.9. It works perfectly well here.

As I wrote earlier, if opening permissions is not enough, you may have to
temporarily downgrade to a lower OS. It sounds like, since FMS12 cannot be
installed on Mavericks, it also cannot be un-installed.

While this sounds like a lot of trouble, I would avoid the temptation to
install 13 without un-installing 12.

Thanks for the input, it worked and now the Installer unexpectedly quits
when I try to run it...

Why, o why is´nt there a uninstaller for 12 built into the Installer of
13....

Evening all.

My problem is that somehow I can not uninstall Filemaker Server Advanced

I have á Mac Mini (newest model) and upgraded from Mountain Lion to

Installing software I got "Can not use this software since it is from a
unidentified developer"

Any bright ideas?

Dan,

I don't think you can perform any useful comparison here. FileMaker
Server's
hosting model is quite different, as is their licensing model. Take a look
at the FMS pricing in the FileMaker Store to get a sense of the costs just
for licensing FMS (let alone all the other costs involved in hosting.

Cheers,
