Join your colleagues and administrators from the Advising 360 Program, the Tucker Foundation, and the Center for Professional Development (Career Services) in discussing how to help students reflect on important questions.  Learn about student evaluation of advising and gain knowledge of new resources for reflection, exploring skill sets and careers, and mindful advising.  Share your best practices and challenges about advising. Teaching with Information Technology, Thursday October 31st, 12-1:30pm
Join us for a faculty and technology showcase! Charles Palmer (Computer Science) will highlight his use of an online discussion tool called Piazza. Doug Moody (Institute for Writing and Rhetoric) and Brigitte Mosenthal (French & Italian) will review their experiences using Canvas as a learning management system (instead of Blackboard). Erich Osterberg (Earth Sciences) will talk about Lecture Tools, a bring-your-own-device polling/Q&A/feedback tool for the classroom.
