A reminder that George Clark will
lead a birdwalk to various sites on the Norwich, VT side of the
Connecticut River from 7:00 to 10:00 AM this Saturday. The event is
sponsored by the Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon and is free
and open to the public.
The route will begin at the Ledyard Bridge and travel northward to the Ompompanoosuc River with intermediary stops at locations favorable for finding birds. Special focus will be on migrating birds.
Participants
should meet at 7:00 AM in the commuter parking lot in Norwich, VT, at
the western end of the Ledyard Bridge where we'll form carpools. Bring
binoculars and spotting scopes if available. Be prepared to walk as much
as a mile over fairly level but uneven and possibly damp terrain. In
case of thundershowers or heavy rain, this walk will be canceled.
