Subject: Woodcock Walks Wednesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 11

The spiraling skyward flight of the male woodcock performing his courtship "dance" is one of the most memorable sights one likely will witness in the realm of birding. Join Mascoma Chapter Steering Committee members George Clark and Arthur Mudge as they lead outings to try and observe woodcocks at that unforgettable moment.

There will be two opportunities to join them this week on Wednesday, the 10th and Thursday the 11th. Meet at 7:15 p.m. in the Kendal of Hanover reception area at 80 Lyme Road in Hanover to caravan to the sites selected by George and Arthur. Dress for warmth in the early evening chill. Wear foot gear that performs well in soggy/wet conditions. Be prepared to walk short distances over potentially uneven terrain.
