A friend reports that an adult bald eagle continues to be seen daily on last year's nesting site adjacent to the Reed WMA on Rt. 10 in Orford. The nest was damaged during the winter. A family living next door to the site thinks one of its supporting branches collapsed causing one side of the nest to hang down vertically. Remains to be seen what the eagle(s) will do. NH Audubon raptor specialist Chris Martin thinks it possible they may have another nest and will move there. Stay tuned.

If you go to view the nest, please respect the privacy of the neighbors and park across the street or in the Reed WMA.
