On N. River Rd. this afternoon, a flock of 50-60 redpolls feeding on grasses and other shrubs on the banks of the Connecticut River in the newly planted erosion control are near Parsons Farm. Also seen on N. River Rd., a red-tailed hawk perched in a tree at the river's edge 100 yards north of E. Thetford Rd.
