from [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> I support an Arabic instructor who has been using Mellel for heavily footnoted documents, but has run into issues with the program periodically losing his text after multiple copy paste operations. He would like to use Word instead (we do not support Mellel), which has a more robust document backup and recovery capability, but does not know how to format his footnotes to use "Indian" numbers. He can use Indian numbers in the text body, but not when footnoting. I have not been able to figure this out for him; it always wants to use Arabic numerals regardless of the font or keyboard input method selected. Is this possible in Word either on the PC or the Mac?
