Jack,

It might interest you to know that SLUPE features some limited LMS
integration, including support for Moodle. Users are authenticated through
the LMS via a small PHP file and then are re-directed to the SLUPE server
where they take their adaptive placement test.

The one hiccup is that the student scores are not sent back to your Moodle
installation, but rather remain on the SLUPE server.
