INSTRUCTOR POSITION IN JAPANESE LANGUAGE: JOB DESCRIPTION

The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, Department of East Asian Languages and
Literatures, invites applications for full-time, 9-month Japanese Language
Instructor position, position number 82952. The initial term of appointment
for this full-time position will be one year, with the possibility of
renewal, depending upon performance and availability of funding.
Appointment to begin August 1, 2013.

Duties: Teach undergraduate Japanese language courses at all levels; advise
undergraduate students; participate in departmental and university service;
other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: M.A. in Japanese, foreign language pedagogy, or in
a related field; high-level proficiency in Japanese and English; teaching
experience at the college level.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
