Several things to report.

A flock of 14 wild turkeys seen both Monday and Tuesday in a neighbor's field.

Today, a red-tailed hawk in a tree on the border of the above mentioned field. Also seen in same area, a flock of 30+/- juncos.

Since Monday, a common loon seen daily on Post Pond. Also on a daily basis this week, a pair of common ravens seen and heard flying around the neighborhood.

Tuesday, feeders up for first full day and very active with 11 species recorded including red-breasted nuthatches (2), white-breasted nuthatches (2), tufted titmice (2) and chickadees (5). The two days prior to putting out the feeders, birds were hanging around in the areas where the feeders get hung as if to say, "We're here. Let's go. Where are they." That phenomenon is a yearly occurrence. When I did get them up late afternoon Monday, the chickadees and jays were on them in less than ten minutes.

Today, first hooded merganser of the season on CT River near mouth of the Ompompanoosuc River.
