from [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> With regard to international TV, I thought I would point out this wi-fi enabled Blu-ray player by Sony: http://amzn.to/PJwNYk. I have two in my home (actually one is an older model, s580) and would recommend the player to anyone who has a subscription to a streaming video solution (e.g. Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, Amazon Prime, etc.). A list of some of its free international streaming channels can be found here: http://bitly.com/X3wTvV. However, an all-Russian and all-German channel are missing; I checked them out last night. One or two might be a great addition for any language center/lab, especially with student interest in Blu-ray and 3D. I personally am not really interested in either technology, but I think it should at least be on our radar moving forward. I am guessing that having a center buy a subscription to Netflix or Hulu Plus and then enabling it on a stand-alone device might violate the streaming service’s terms of service, but it might be worth investigating. As a side note, some foreign language film resources are listed at http://languages.ku.edu/foreign-language-films ... all of which can be accessed from the Blu-ray player mentioned above. Foreign titles are becoming much more widely available on streaming services.
