Sept. 9
Windsor Village
An expected drawdown at Kennedy (Mill) Pond in Windsor
village has taken place recently. There have been few opportunities to observe
shorebirds in Windsor County this summer and the drawdown has exposed some
mudflats where several species were seen this afternoon. Distance is a
problem, but with the lower water the shoreline can be navigated for at
least a hundred yards.
Some specie of note;
Great Egret-1
Greater Yellowlegs-1
Several smaller species could not be identified with
certainty; probably Least and Spotted Sandpipers.
