Some years back, I learned that the ORIGINAL table occurrence of a particular table is the one that FMP uses as its default starting point for any calculation originating in that table. So if you delete or rename it, you get irritating behavior thereafter. Not that you can't deal with it, but you have to REMEMBER to deal with it, instead of having it happen for you automatically.

It would be nice if there were some way of changing the default TO right within the E-R diagram, but I suspect that's WAY down FMI's to-do list. Nonetheless, I've resubmitted the idea to FMI's "Feature Requests" box, which I am assured gets read regularly (tho never, in my experience, responded to). You are encouraged to do likewise.
