I stopped by Campbell Flats Road and Houghton Hill marsh briefly this morning.
It was nice to be out earlier than noon (for a change), and without the gale-force
wind that has been my constant companion every time I've been out recently. Highlights
at Campbell Flats Road were a singing Savannah Sparrow and a Louisiana Waterthrush
song (I did not hear the gnatcatcher), although there were many common birds that
I had not seen or heard yet this year: Yellow Warbler, Eastern Kingbird, House
Wren (not nesting in my yard this year, unfortunately), etc.

At Houghton Hill marsh, I heard an American Bittern, and a Broad-winged Hawk
and an unidentified Accipiter sp. flew over.
