Today at Boston Lot Lake I thought I heard the trilling song of a pine warbler. I did not see it, but the location seemed right. The song came from the tall white pines near the road where I have seen pine warblers in other years. I would be more definite, but I know that I have been confused by the similar trilling songs of pine warblers, chipping sparrows, and juncos in the past. Has anyone seen a pine warbler this year . Is this an early date?
