We had an exciting evening with creature activity this beautiful evening. After my 17 yr old cat tried to chase a gray fox, thank goodness for a wire fencing between them, we saw two separate incidences of a bat. Not sure of it was the same one twice or whether it was two separate ones. Sure was encouraging to see.
We also had a pair of bluebirds checking out boxes, a pair of Canada geese and a pair of wood ducks.
What a great evening.

We still have our noisy flock of about 15 EGBs here in West Norwich-Beaver Meadow area.  I took a few photos today, as I thought it might be fun to see their developing plumage, and perhaps a courtship scene. Included is a short movie. Hard to see the female- she is mostly below the branch.
