This morning on the floodplain in east Woodstock behind the sewage
treatment plant I found impressive and quite beautiful masses of Snow
Buntings. My best estimate was about 500 birds, but it was difficult to
count them as they all didn't settle at one time. Also along the river was
one Myrtle Warbler chipping and gleaning food. But the buntings are quite a
site as the whirl around the fields.
