from [log in to unmask] Hello, Our new Chinese instructor has decided to use volumes 3 - 5 of the New Practical Chinese Reader. In addition to the book and workbook there are textbook CDs, workbooks CDs, and a textbook DVD. Cheng and Tsui says that they are not authorized by the publisher (Beijing Language and Culture University Press) to sell 'lab' or 'site' licenses. If your Chinese program is using the New Practical Chinese Reader, how are you handling the distribution of the audio and video? Do students buy the CDs and DVDs with their books? Have you gotten permission to distribute these materials to enrolled students? Other suggestions? Thanks for your help, Sharon Sharon Scinicariello, Ph.D. Director, Global Studio University of Richmond, VA 23173 ************************************************************************** LLTI is a service of IALLT, the International Association for Language Learning Technologies (http://iallt.org/), and The Consortium for Language Teaching and Learning (http://www.languageconsortium.org/).
