I have found that replacing something like a Space or whatever, which is hard to find, by Option-8 + Space, this easily highlights the position then check and delete.

Cool !

This works perfectly.

I am replacing a soft return with a space. Once I have all the changes highlighted, I choose a highlight colour and all the changes are highlighted.

When satisfied with the results I select the entire text and remove the highlight colour attributes.

It couldn't be simpler or neater.

Thanks Ben and Nobumi !
