--- Forwarded Message from 15.5 --- From: "Smolnik, Steven" <[log in to unmask]> Date: Tue, 22 Mar 2011 15:13:00 -0400 Subject: Lecture Capture Systems To: Language Learning and Technology International Information Forum <[log in to unmask]> Here at Saint Joseph College, we are starting to look into "Lecture Capture" solutions. I am reading some of the discussions at lecturecapture.com, and would also welcome the feedback from colleagues here on LLTI about solutions you are considering or have already started using. Some of the products that we may consider would include: Cisco, Echo360 (available via a Blackboard building block since we currently use Blackboard), MediaSite, Panopto, Camtasia, Tegrity, and LectureTools.com. Some faculty are interested more in using a product to produce custom screen-capture tutorials for their classes, while others want to capture the audio and on-screen actions during classroom "lecture" presentations (with or without a video image of the presenter). I'd welcome your reflections on "appliance-based" systems and software-based systems and your roads to implementation. As always, thanks for taking time to share! -Steve Smolnik ======================================= Steven M.
