In some languages (Spanish, Chinese, Japanese), these seem fairly easy to find, but in other languages -- French comes to mind -- we often have difficulty finding target-language-subtitled (or closed-captioned) DVDs. Therefore, I am wondering if anyone on the list can share good sources for -- -For foreign-language DVDs that are not readily available, say, at Amazon -- especially with target-language subtitles; -For reliable online sources to download subtitle files; -For software to add/burn subtitles to an encoded streaming clip. If you'd prefer to reply to me off-list, I would be happy to compile and post a summary. --Thom ------ Thomas Hammond, Director Language Resource Center Harvard University Lamont 430, Harvard Yard Cambridge, MA 02138, USA *********************************************** LLTI is a service of IALLT, the International Association for Language Learning Technology (http://iallt.org/), and The Consortium for Language Teaching and Learning (http://www.languageconsortium.org/).
