--- Forwarded Message from 15.5 --- From: Timothy M Cook <[log in to unmask]> Date: Sat, 25 Dec 2010 23:01:31 -0600 Subject: Tracking students' use of online resources To: "[log in to unmask]" <[log in to unmask]> I hate to use the word "tracking" because it sounds so icky, which maybe this is, but I've come across a free website, http://smart.fm, that is basically just glorified flash cards -- no earth-shattering pedagogy there -- and I would like to have students use it. As a Japanese teacher, I would have students having trouble memorizing hiragana and katakana go to there to do the kana exercises. Would anyone know how to verify whether students actually used such a service? I'm thinking of having them get there through my the LMS, but that would just tell me that they went there and how much time they spent, but not that they actually did anything.
