The definition in the International Building Code is one possible standard, but of course, it doesn't address the question of how to define the limits of the LRC. Do you want to count equipment storage rooms? Administrative storage? Wiring closets? Other closets? Media Library space? Technician's shop? Server room? LRC administrative offices? Entryways completely within the LRC? Passageways completely within the LRC? Passageways predominantly within the LRC? Passageways that bisect the LRC? I don't think it is a trivial question. If the measurement criteria aren't well defined, then the data will be hard to analyze. I would be happy to send the numbers for our facility, if the measurement system is clarified.
