Mid morning today (Sept. 10) along a power line right-of-way through
the woods near Gile Mountain in Norwich, under mainly overcast skies
and with winds at times gusty enough to blow off a hat, Dick Brooks
and I saw two Broad-winged Hawks and an American Kestrel as well as 8
Canada Geese and 3 Common Ravens, all in flight. Other species found
along that right-of-way were Blue Jays, a Black-capped Chickadee, 2
Common Yellowthroats, and an American Goldfinch.
