I went walking before noon today on "parcel 5" trail, and heard a bird song that I TRIED to remember until I could get home and listen to recordings to identify it. I've been through samples of all the bird that I see everyone's Norwich lists in the last few days, as well as a regional web search of warblers and listened to any and all that I wasn't SURE I knew, but nothing close.. The Song was consistent.. starting with a short, rather clear toned warble, followed by an ascending raspy "Zreeeeee" Not clear in my mind anymore, especially after listening to so many recordings! I THINK the buzzy part was similar to the Northern Parula warbler, but I have never heard a recording of a Parula with the first short warbly part! Very close by there were several Black Throated Green warblers, and at least one Black throated Blue (those songs I'm confident of) My email is [log in to unmask] if anyone has any ideas! Thanks!
