We used all the hotpot apps possible, including crosswords. You will find some if you browse through the exercises :) Contact me if you need more info on the making of. :-) http://www.victoria.ac.nz/llc/edith_dev/genki/ Cheers Edith Paillat Language Learning Centre / Library Victoria University of Wellington, NZ http://www.victoria.ac.nz/llc/ -----Original Message----- From: Language Learning and Technology International Information Forum [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of LLTI-Editor Sent: Wednesday, March 03, 2010 12:13 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Re: #9362.1 (!) You have to be particularly careful with the JMix app, since Japanese doesn't typically require spaces between words, it's necessary to put each word/phrase on separate lines for them to be split into separate draggable units. And crosswords only really work when they are all hirgana or katakana (kanji crosswords are do-able but usually way to hard for anything less than advanced students). But other than that, it works fine. ~~ Academic Technologies http://apps.carleton.edu/campus/at/ Foreign Language Technology http://go.carleton.edu/f My Calendar: https:[log in to unmask]&fmt=freebusy Carly J.
