The Humanities Resource Center houses the university video collection and language learning materials. The Center includes a computer lab, viewing rooms, and a smart classroom. The main responsibility of the position is to oversee the maintenance and circulation of the campus video collection located in the Center. This includes managing the student workers who staff the desk, responding to inquiries from patrons, and handling course reserve requests. The successful candidate will have experience working with students, employees and college/university faculty. The candidate should also have a broad knowledge of effective uses of technology, including video technologies in higher education, particularly in foreign language teaching. The candidate may also be called upon to assist in the creation of multimedia teaching materials. Some experience with website development and database management is preferred. A willingness to learn these skills is required.
