Job Title: Coordinator, Academic Technology Services Department: Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology Division: Information Services Job Type: Full Time Job Summary: Manage operational and strategic activities of a 5-person instructional technology support team. Works with faculty to help them understand the abilities of the group and how they can best leverage the skills of the group to promote teaching. Serves as an ambassador for the group on many university and Information Services committees. Establishes group initiatives; plans and manages projects; brings together teams to accomplish priorities. Works with university departments to identify training needs and organizes team to meet these needs. Together with the Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning, & Technology and the ATS Computer Lab Manager, establishes ATS priorities coordinates operations. Qualifications & Skills: * Educational and/or experiential background in instructional design * Working knowledge of Blackboard system administration and application architecture. * Working knowledge of open source and Web 2.0 applications * Working knowledge of interactive web-based multimedia design - Flash, digital audio and video preferred * Working knowledge web development - php, MySQL, Java, ColdFusion, Oracle, Linux, and XML preferred * Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation * Expert knowledge of widely used hardware, software applications, resources and technologies. * Demonstrated ability to initiate, manage, and complete projects * Demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload, set priorities, and use good judgment in providing services based on goals * Collaborative leadership style and demonstrated ability to work with many different types of people including faculty, staff and students. * Experience in managing projects, people, and an operational budget is preferred.
