Gyonggi
Province Institute for Foreign Language Education (a
Korean government training institute, http://www.gifle.go.kr) near Seoul is looking for one
full-time English instructor with some expertise on ICT or technololy or
computer skills. An MA degree is not required for this position. This means BA
and some computer skills.
The primary responsibility of the foreign instructors here is to train the
provinces’ elementary, middle, and high school teachers in a month-long program.
In addition, teacher trainers spend a few weeks at area schools working with
students and teachers. MAJOR
DUTIES: To train Korean English teachers in Gyeonggi-do and to design syllabi
and develop teaching materials. The employment period shall be one year and may
be renewed by the mutual written agreement between the host GIFLE and the
employee. Employees shall work eight hours per day (nine to five), five days per
week excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and Korean national holidays. Total
instructional hours will not exceed 21 hours per week. GIFLE offers its
participants comfortable living conditions. In addition to monthly salary, other
benefits available for GIFLE members include housing, medical insurance,
tax exemption, settlement allowance, severance pay, pension fund, and airfare
reimbursement.
