As a result we discontinued our subscription to the International Channel and have been without language programming. Now that we have found a way to restore our satellite programming, we have discovered that the International Channel has become AZN Television with programming in Asian languages only at the basic subscription fee. For European and Middle Eastern programming, you either have to find a local cable TV provider or subscribe to International Channel's 24 hour pay channels @$200/yr for each language channel. What was once a very inexpensive way to provide international language programming to our students and faculty has now become a more expensive proposition though perhaps still less expensive than SCOLA. If you subscribe to the International Channel at your institution, how have you dealt with this change and how has it affected the language support services you provide?
