Hey all,
I have been reading copyright policies for university streaming around
the web and notice that a lot of folks place the onus of copyright on
the individual who is actually creating the website and presenting the
materials, not the hoster or digitizer, the university ISP. Has this
strategy been tested in court yet? With the current draconian measures
of the entertainment industry via RIAA and other copyright cops, are we
worried as to when they will be targetting outside of ISPs and internet
music thieves? Is it your University ISP policy to accomodate any legal
action pertaining to privacy and copyright rather than institute a best
practices/preemptive copyright policy? Just interested in getting policy
ideas in these changing times.
