Lexington, Kentucky Deadline for submission of abstracts: 18 November 2004 As technology evolves, individual pieces of machinery become less and less important. Media and the transmission of media take a more prominent role in education over a traditional focus on the "computer." This panel will explore how various forms of electronic media (text, sound, still and moving images) are used to enhance German language and culture instruction. This panel will focus on 1: how the blended use of electronic media influences current DaF instruction and 2: the increased focus on the cultural content of the media within the curriculum. Papers will be 20 minutes in length, followed by a 10-minute discussion period. Email one-page proposals, written in either English or German, to Michael Shaughnessy - [log in to unmask] All scholars are invited to submit abstracts. Acceptance of your paper for presentation implies a commitment on your part to register and attend the conference. All presenters and attendees must pay the appropriate registration fee by 15 FEBRUARY 2005 and fill out the A/V request form for presentation of media.
