Barbara, Recorded Books, one of the companies that supplies audio books to libraries, has a section called audiolibros, with a total of 48 titles. It's a mix of fiction and self-help, though the fiction titles aren't "great literature" classics. Recorded books is www.recordedbooks.com. There are also some titles for paid download at audible.com and a very small number at amazon. With these titles, the fiction is a mix of Spanish language origianals and translations of U.S. bestsellers, e.g. Stepehen King in Spanish. Funny, you can buy commercial audiobooks in French at fnac and amazon.fr. If there's an equivalent from the U.S. Southwest or Mexico, that could be a good source. Cleveland Public Library has some titles on cassette tape that come from Recorded Books and from some Latin American vendors. cpl might be able to point you to these vendors. www.cpl.org And that's all I know. If cpl has Spanish language audiobooks, what about public libraries in California, Florida, Texas? They might have more connections with vendors.
