Don't! The UW System adopted D2L in place of WebCT. We raised the issue of unicode compliance at several face to face meetings with company reps, and had a dickens of a time getting them to even understand the difference between what we needed and "localized versions" which was what they thought we wanted. We've been told this will be in a future release, but have no idea when, how well, if... I know only too well the shortcoming of Blackboard (another short-listed contender) with regard to Unicode compliance and the display/inputting of foreign language scripts. But Desire2Learn is an unknown quantity in this respect. If any of you have had any experience with this system I would very much appreciate hearing from you about it. With thanks in advance, Jack -- Jack Burston, Ph.D. Director Foreign Language Technology Center College of Liberal Arts Rochester Institute of Technology Rochester, NY 14623-5604
