We too use the Califone 3066AV headphone. It's a bit "retro" (60s-70s look), but it is very sturdy, has good sound levels, and is reasonably priced in quantities. >>> [log in to unmask] 4/29/2004 2:24:43 PM >>> --- Forwarded Message from Jack Burston <[log in to unmask]> --- >Date: Tue, 27 Apr 2004 14:28:13 -0400 >From: Jack Burston <[log in to unmask]> >Subject: Re: #7490.2 recommendation for headphones >In-reply-to: <[log in to unmask]> >To: Language Learning and Technology International Information Forum <[log in to unmask]> >User-Agent: Microsoft-Entourage/10.1.4.030702.0 David, I agree that that the Koss SB 40 is a comfortable headphone/mic combination, but if all you are after is the headphones you would be looking at the UR20. Regarding the SB 40, before purchasing them in any number you need to check out how well the microphone works with your computers. Microphone output from the SB40 is quite low, even with the optional line amplifier that is available for it. As much as I liked the SB 40, I had to opt for the less comfortable, but sturdier, CALIFONE 3066AV to get acceptable recording levels.
